  • -Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; -Possesses excellent interpersonal skills; -Self motivated in performance of duties with little or no supervision; -Good organization skills are needed to maintain a status of process improvement projects; -Must have an understanding of Quality systems and processes; -Knowledge of AS 9100 or ISO 9001 is required; -Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required; -Must be proficient in the use of MS Powerpoint and Excel spreadsheets
  • -Manufacture Engineering or Industrial Engineering B.S. degree or higher is desired with manufacturing and/or Q A experience; -Specialized training in Cause Mapping/Root Cause Analysis is a plus; -Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and the AS 9100 Standard; -Knowledge and understanding of aircraft planning and engineering processes is desired; -Black belt or green belt certification is desired
  • Entry level Process Improvement Quality Engineer supporting the Marietta Core Quality Organization
  • The individual will be responsible for conducting investigations to assure that processes are achieving desired results; provide direction for process improvement review; perform corrective action system audits to ensure effective plans are generated, implemented and properly verified
  • Uses statistical process control data to determine the need for additional controls through Quality Inspection and/or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Conducts system and product audits to ensure maximum yields and productivity using Design of Experiment and FMEA tools
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality
