Veteran Mike Cains Story Chronic Pain

Veteran Mike Cains Story Chronic Pain

So I am a wounded warrior. I joined the military straight out of high school. In April 2003 I was deployed to Tikrit Iraq. My vehicle rolled over a double stack anti-tank land mine and I lost my right leg and had severe damage to my left leg. In October of 2013 I had my left leg amputated below the knee as well. So now I am a double below knee amputee. I currently play sled Hockey and am in the process of transitioning to stand up hockey. I was playing sled hockey but had a hard time pushing around my 289 lbs of fat!!!! And I also play football with the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team. The first few games I was either in a wheelchair or walking down the field. In May of 2014 I was brought into ID Life by Truckin 4 Troops (a non profit organization that helps wounded service members and familys to better there lives and boost moral) everyone in the ID Life family is prob pretty familiar with the Mallorys!!! So I got involved and started taking the nutrition. Lost a few pounds and then lost interest in keeping up with it. Around January 2015 (shortly after me and my wife got married and found out we were going to b parents) I started back on my nutrition and started working out even more. It was steadily done. Started running and taking the hydrate and eating well. I have tried diet supplements and thru didnt do anything but put a hole in my wallet, so I continued taking ID Nutrition and saw results. Losing weight, feeling more energetic, and feeling so much better about myself. I live and breath ID Life. It has changed my life so much. I recently caught a touchdown pass playing against the Dallas Cowboys Alumni by non other then Rodger Staubach himself!!! And I ran a 5k run in 50 min!!! First time running!!! I never thought that I would ever b able to do this stuff because of my weight. I have just signed up a couple people recently that joined because of the transformation they have seen from my body and energy. I cant thank ID Life or Truckin 4 Troops enough for becoming a huge part of my life and helping me get to where I am today. And to this day I lost a total of 53 lbs!!!!
